1. Overview
DoorStepQR ("we", "our", or "us") provides free static QR code generation, editable dynamic QR codes, and hosted mobile business pages at doorstepqr.com and q.doorstepqr.com. We collect as little personal data as possible and never sell your data.
2. Free QR code generator
When you create a free QR code on our home page or landing pages, the code is generated entirely inside your browser. The links, WiFi passwords, contact details, and logos you enter are not uploaded to our servers.
3. Account and business page data
When you create a DoorStepQR account, we store:
- Your email address (used for passwordless sign-in links and account notices).
- The dynamic QR codes, destination URLs, contact cards, and PDF files you save.
- The business page content, opening hours, and logos you publish.
- Your billing status and Stripe customer reference.
4. What we record when someone scans a dynamic code
When a visitor scans a dynamic QR code on q.doorstepqr.com, we record the scan timestamp, the two-letter country code provided by our edge network header, the device category (phone, tablet, or desktop), and the operating system family (iOS, Android, or other).
We do not store visitor IP addresses in our scan database, and we do not set tracking cookies on scan redirects or public business pages.
5. Service providers (sub-processors)
We rely on trusted infrastructure providers to run DoorStepQR:
- Supabase: database hosting, authentication, and file storage for uploaded logos and PDFs.
- Vercel: web application hosting and global edge routing for scan redirects.
- Stripe: payment processing and subscription management. Your full credit card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers.
6. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings. Deleting your account cancels any active Stripe subscription, deletes your uploaded logos and PDFs from storage, and permanently deletes your profile, business pages, dynamic QR codes, and scan statistics.
7. Contact and abuse reports
To report a suspicious QR code or ask a privacy question, use our report form.
