QR codes for local businesses

QR codes for events, workshops, and pop-ups.

At a busy workshop, conference, community market, or pop-up event, rooms change, speaker times shift, and attendees constantly ask where to find the schedule, the WiFi password, or the presentation slides. Printed programs are expensive and become inaccurate the moment a session runs ten minutes late. QR codes on check-in banners, lanyards, and table signs let attendees scan for the latest schedule, join venue WiFi, download workshop PDFs, or save an organizer's contact details.

Square logos work best. PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG up to 1 MB.

How to make your QR code

  1. 1Choose Website for your RSVP page, live agenda, or feedback form, WiFi for venue internet, PDF for handouts, or Contact card for badge networking.
  2. 2Enter your link, venue WiFi credentials, or contact details in the form below.
  3. 3Customize the colors and upload your event or company logo.
  4. 4Test the code with your phone camera to confirm the destination loads quickly.
  5. 5Download SVG for roll-up banners and stage posters, or PNG for slide decks and name badges.

Tips before you print

  • Always use a dynamic QR code (DoorStepQR Pro) when printing event roll-up banners or badges weeks in advance, so if a room changes or you switch agenda links the night before, your banners still work.
  • On presentation slides, place a large QR code on your final summary slide and leave it on screen during Q&A so the audience has plenty of time to scan for your slides or contact card.
  • For large check-in banners where people scan from 2 to 3 meters away so they don't crowd the entrance table, make the QR code at least 20 centimeters (8 inches) wide.
  • Add a clear label right above or below every event code ('Scan for Today's Schedule', 'Scan for Venue WiFi') so attendees know which code to use.
  • After the event finishes, redirect your dynamic banner code to the photo gallery, recording replay, or waitlist for your next workshop.

Frequently asked questions

What if we don't have the final agenda link ready when the print shop needs our banner artwork?

Create a dynamic QR code in DoorStepQR Pro using a placeholder URL, send the SVG to your banner printer on time, and update the destination to your final agenda link whenever it is ready.

Can hundreds of attendees scan the same QR code at the same time?

Yes. Static codes decode directly on each person's phone, and DoorStepQR Pro dynamic redirects are cached at the edge to handle bursts of scans in under 100 milliseconds.

Can we reuse our printed roll-up banners for next month's workshop?

Yes. With a DoorStepQR Pro dynamic code, you can point the same printed banner to a new schedule, slide deck, or feedback survey for every event you host.

How do I put a QR code on a speaker badge for networking?

Select Contact card above, enter the speaker's name, company, phone, email, and LinkedIn or website URL, and print the code on the badge at 2.5 cm wide.
